At All Day Stitch on Saturday, a bunch of us were talking, and discussion turned to WIP’s and UFO’s. We headed down an interesting path, as I was working on my own personal “Everest”, Queen of Freedom. I’ve been working on that project for about 4 years now, and every year, I say I am going to have her ready to go in the front window for display in time for all the patriotic holidays over the summer. If you’ve ever walked by the front window, you’ll know she has yet to be finished, even though I am at least half, and likely closer to two-thirds, finished with her.
It seems that a lot of you are like me, and have a project that you are going to finish, whether you still enjoy it or not. Almost every stitcher there on Saturday could name at least one “Everest”, and some of us have built an entire mountain range of them. We’d love to hear from our readers, what is your “Everest”?

It sits on a scroll stand carefully covered, clean and ready to be picked up in the TV room with no excuses except other projects (and life). *sigh*
